Annette the Artist
Annette Bunning returned to painting in 2003. creates work as a means of expressing emotions and connections with the world around and within her. Her style is eclectic and reflects her inner world of passion, joy and peacefulness. Her work is mainly abstract, it is vibrant with energy expressed through colour and her distinctive style of mark making.
She claims that much of her work simply comes from an ability to let go, to trust and allow what comes forth to guide and inspire. Living in an idyllic peaceful mountain setting with nature all around somehow allows for a strong connection with the inner self. Her journey with Reiki as her guide has brought about the most recent series of paintings which reflect that emotions and turmoil that transforming oneself can throw up.
Her work is mostly acryllic paint on canvas, board or paper.
